GardenScape Nursery, Inc. is a small, wholesale nursery located near Salem, OR. We started production over 30 years ago under the name of Chuck Schlechter Nursery, Inc. In 1971 Chuck and Barb Schlechter purchased 70 acres in the Willamette Valley for their new business venture and residence. This land continues to be the heart of our operations. The fields contain over 70% of our Rhododendron inventory. It is also the location of our office, greenhouses and primary shipping area.

In 1998 the nursery was sold to Paul Kuschnick and the name was changed to GardenScape Nursery, Inc. Since that time, Paul has concentrated on maintaining the high quality of standards you have grown to know and trust. Chuck and Barb continue to help in many areas of the nursery.

To control the quality and consistency, the nursery initially grew only Rhododendrons and deciduous Azaleas. However, as the needs of our clients expanded so did the variety of plant material we offer. Grafted conifers, Ilex, Kalmia, Maples, Pieris and Viburnum have been added over the years. With growth and changes we have still managed to maintain our focus and achieve our motto:

'Deep rooted in quality'
